A Night to Remember: Meath Legend Sean Boylan Presents Medals at Dunshaughlin & Royal Gaels Underage Awards

Sunday, March 9th was a night of celebration, pride, and community spirit as Dunshaughlin & Royal Gaels GAA hosted its highly anticipated underage boys medal presentation evening. The event honoured the remarkable achievements of several talented young teams, recognising their dedication and success over the past two seasons.

The following teams were celebrated for their outstanding performances: U15 Division 2 Championship 2023, U12 League 2023, U15 Premier Championship 2024 & U15 Premier 1 League Champions 2024.

It was a proud moment for players, coaches, parents, and supporters alike — but what made the evening truly special was the presence of a Meath GAA icon.

The atmosphere was electric as the legendary former Meath GAA manager, Sean Boylan, took to the stage to present medals to the young stars. A true hero of the game, Sean’s presence brought an added sense of honour to the occasion. His legacy in Meath football is second to none, and having him acknowledge the efforts of Dunshaughlin & Royal Gaels’ future stars was an unforgettable experience for everyone in the room.

Joining Sean on the night were Dunshaughlin Senior Champion Captain Jared Rushe, a player who knows exactly what it takes to bring silverware home, and Meath senior player Conor Duke, a proud Dunshaughlin man who proves that the club’s future is in very safe hands. Their involvement showed the clear pathway from underage to senior success within the club, inspiring the next generation of talent.

It was also fantastic to see many of the players receiving their medals proudly kitted in their custom Dunshaughlin & Royal Gaels GAA Cico Sports teamwear. At Cico Sports, we’re proud to partner with clubs like Dunshaughlin & Royal Gaels to provide high-quality, custom-designed teamwear that reflects the pride and identity of the community.

Congratulations once again to all the young players who were honoured on the night. The hard work, teamwork, and commitment you’ve shown is what GAA is all about — and the future has never looked brighter.
